Kennesaw Farmers Market Now Accepting Vendor Applications for 2025 Season

Kennesaw, GA (Feb. 17, 2025) — The Kennesaw Farmers Market is now accepting vendor applications for the 2025 season. The market will operate rain or shine every Monday from 3:30 to 7 p.m., beginning the first Monday in May and running through the last Monday in August. The market will be closed on Memorial Day. A total of 16 market days are scheduled for the season.

Vendors will be assigned a 10-by-10-foot space and may set up a tent no larger than their assigned space. Tents must be securely weighted, as tent stakes are not permitted. Vendors are responsible for providing their own tents, tables and displays. Electricity will not be available unless required by the Georgia Department of Agriculture for product sales.

The market requires vendors to truthfully represent their products and operations. Vendors must display signage indicating whether produce is homegrown or resale. The market encourages vendors to engage with customers about their operations and products. Inappropriate language, behavior or harassment toward another vendor, employee or customer is grounds for immediate and permanent expulsion from the market.

The market defines vendors as sellers of goods, which may include their immediate family members or employees. There are two vendor classifications: Farmers and Makers. Farmers grow or harvest at least 80% of the products sold at their booth, including fruits, vegetables, flowers, honey, nuts, meat and eggs. Makers sell handmade or handcrafted items or resell produce they did not grow.

Vendor fees are structured as follows:

  • Full-season farmers: No fees
  • Full-season makers (biweekly rotation; 8 market days): $140
  • Weekly farmers: No fees
  • Weekly makers: $20 per week

Vendors may pay for the full season in advance or participate as weekly walk-in vendors. Full-season vendors receive priority reservations, while weekly vendors are assigned spaces based on availability. Vendors selling prepared or packaged food must provide necessary Georgia Department of Agriculture licenses. Meat, eggs and dairy vendors must submit current certifications. Resale vendors must post a sign indicating their status.

Market guidelines prohibit direct sales, multi-level marketing (MLM) and CBD product vendors. Vendors must submit an amended application for approval before selling products not listed on their original application.

The Kennesaw Farmers Market operates as a “Breathe Easy Zone,” prohibiting smoking, tobacco products and e-cigarettes. Alcoholic beverages are allowed only within the guidelines of the Entertainment District. Dogs must be on a leash no longer than six feet and under control at all times.

Complaints must be directed to the market manager, who will address issues as needed. The Kennesaw Downtown Development Authority reserves the right to revise market rules at any time.
