KENNESAW, Ga. (October 1, 2024) – The City of Kennesaw is excited to announce the return of its annual Holiday Extravaganza at Depot Park, inviting residents, families, neighborhoods, non-profits, civic and faith-based organizations, local businesses, schools, sports teams, and athletic clubs to participate by decorating a holiday tree. This fourth annual event promises to bring festive cheer to Downtown Kennesaw, where over 60,000 lights will illuminate Depot Park for the holiday season.
Participation in the Holiday Extravaganza is $15, with all proceeds supporting downtown beautification projects and events. The City will provide each participant with a 6-foot artificial, unlit tree and a metal stake for securing it. Participants are responsible for providing their own decorations and ensuring they adhere to event guidelines. Once registration closes, participants will be assigned a specific spot in Depot Park for their tree.
Important Dates:
November 20, 2024: Application Deadline
November 29, 2024: All trees must be installed by the end of the day.
January 7, 2025: All trees and decorations must be removed by the end of the day.
Participants are required to follow all event rules and guidelines, which include securely attaching all decorations to the tree, ensuring displays remain family-friendly, and regularly maintaining their tree throughout the event. The City of Kennesaw is not responsible for any lost, broken, or stolen items, and reserves the right to remove any trees or decorations that are damaged or pose a risk to pedestrian traffic. Power will not be provided by the City, but participants may use solar-powered lights.
