KENNESAW, Ga. (May 28, 2026) — The City of Kennesaw will host its annual Independence Day celebration, Salute to America, on Friday, July 3, in downtown Kennesaw. Admission is free.
One of the largest Independence Day celebrations in North Georgia, Salute to America will feature live music, street entertainment, food vendors, sponsor booths and family-friendly activities throughout the evening, culminating in a fireworks finale at 9:30 p.m. visible from Depot Park and along Main Street.
The celebration will begin at 5 p.m. with the National Anthem, “God Bless America” and the Presentation of the Colors.
Live music at the United Bankshares Amphitheater at Depot Park will feature performances by Tripp’n at 5:15 p.m., The Happy Hour at 6:30 p.m. and headliner Rupert’s Orchestra at 8 p.m.
Rupert’s Orchestra is a 12-piece band known for its high-energy performances and wide-ranging repertoire. The group gained national recognition during its residency at Rupert’s Nightclub in Atlanta, where it performed for packed audiences for more than eight years and was consistently voted the city’s top house band. Featuring a dynamic rhythm section, horn ensemble and multiple vocalists, Rupert’s Orchestra delivers an interactive show spanning Top 40 hits, Motown, R&B, classic rock and big band swing.
The Happy Hour is an Atlanta-based trio featuring Francisco Vidal, Harlee Pope and Zoe Vaughan. The group performs a mix of rock and roll classics and modern hits and has appeared at venues across the Southeast, including Eddie’s Attic, Smith’s Olde Bar and MadLife Stage & Studios.
Tripp’n is a teen rock cover band from Atlanta featuring four multi-instrumentalists whose influences include southern rock, classic rock, alternative rock and metal.
A wide selection of entrees, cold beverages and snacks will be available for purchase throughout the event. Guests are welcome to bring picnic baskets and coolers; however, barbecue grills are prohibited.
Reserved seating will be available for $75 per chair on the second-tier turf lawn. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Chairs are not assigned in advance, and preregistration is required. Reservations may be made online through CivicRec under “Special Events” and “Salute to America” or by calling Kennesaw Parks & Recreation at 770-422-9714. Chair purchases are nonrefundable after June 1.
With the exception of reserved seating, all event seating is general admission. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or low-back chairs. Shade umbrellas, canopies and other view-obstructing items are prohibited in the general event area.
Several downtown roads will close beginning at 1 p.m. on July 3 to accommodate the event. Public parking will not be available at Depot Park; however, free public parking will be available at Adams Park and along Lewis Street between North Main Street and Dallas Street. Limited handicap parking will be available near Depot Park and at the intersection of North Main Street and Moon Station Road.

Kennesaw city parks are designated Breathe Easy Zones, where tobacco products, smoking and e-cigarettes are prohibited. The event may be canceled or postponed because of inclement weather.
