The Civil War in Georgia
Join Michael K. Shaffer who will discuss his latest book, Day by Day through the Civil War, a daily account of Georgia’s social, political, economic, and military events during the conflict while remembering the struggles of enslaved persons, folks on the home front, merchants and clergy attempting to maintain some sense of normalcy.
Michael K. Shaffer is a Civil War historian, instructor, lecturer, and author. He is a member of the Society of Civil War Historians, Historians of the Civil War Western Theater, and Georgia Association of Historians. He instructs Civil War Courses at Kennesaw State University and Emory University and frequently lectures to various groups across the country.
