African American Collection at The Georgia Room
Librarian Carolyn Crawford will discuss the the African American Collection at the Georgia Room, located in the Switzer branch of the Cobb County Public Library System. Learn more about guides for conducting African American genealogy, biographies of notable individuals from Georgia and those who have shaped the history of local communities.
Carolyn Crawford is the librarian at the Georgia Room, Cobb County Public Library System’s genealogical and historical special collection. She holds an AA in English from the Christian College of Missouri, a BA in English from The University of Alabama and a Master of Library Science from Clark Atlanta University. She has also completed study programs at the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
