Decoration Day

Join the Cemetery Preservation Commission for the 19th Annual Decoration Day on Friday, May 3, at Kennesaw City Cemetery, a cherished tradition where the community comes together to help preserve this historic site by cleaning headstones, gravesites and the surrounding grounds. All necessary cleaning supplies will be provided, though volunteers are encouraged to bring their own work gloves. The morning cleanup will be followed by a guided history tour at 10:30 AM, offering insight into notable individuals buried in the cemetery. The first 50 attendees will receive a complimentary breakfast sandwich and participants are welcome to refresh flowers and decorations on gravesites. This event will take place rain or shine, with no rescheduled date. Join us as we honor the past and preserve history for future generations.
